There is no doubt that the teacher enjoys a high status and a sublime position in our Islamic educational thought. It made him the legitimate heir of the prophets (may God’s prayers and peace be upon them) in performing their eternal mission of guiding people, educating them, and bringing them out of darkness into light. The sources of our Islamic educational thought have referred to many texts and evidence that mention the teacher’s merit. It refers to many of his attributes and characteristics that distinguish him from others, and give him his distinct Islamic identity.

: Among the most prominent of these traits and characteristics is what we can call (moral and behavioral traits), which we summarize in the following:

That the teacher be sincere in his words, deeds, and intentions: This means that the teacher should not intend by his knowledge and actions other than the face of God, Glory be to Him, in obedience to Him and closeness to Him. Sincerity also necessitates that the teacher do his best to take note of the various educational aspects that make him a successful teacher, characterized by sincerity in secret and in public.

To be humble to God Almighty; He is not afflicted with arrogance, nor is he tyrannized by self-conceit. for what was given of knowledge; For whoever humbles himself to God will exalt him. And because when a teacher shows humility, he stops at his limit, does justice to others, recognizes his right, and does not oppress people with falsehood.

- That he be an enjoiner of virtue and forbidding of vice, characterized by reason, prudence, good behavior, and wisdom in his commands and prohibitions; Because all of this stems from his eagerness to love the good for people, and his eagerness to invite them to goodness and righteousness.

- to be of good appearance and beautiful body; As the personality of the teacher and his appearance have a very important influence on the behavior of the students and their current and future behavior, then because the care and elegance of the clothes is important for the teacher until the eyes are comfortable seeing him; Souls are happy with it, and students are affected by it in this regard.

To be patient with the suffering and hardships of the teaching profession; Able to face students' problems and treat them wisely and deliberately. Without anger, or emotion, or anything like that.

To be loving and sympathetic to his students, inspecting them in their various situations, and participating in solving their problems until a strong and close relationship is established between him and them. It is based on brotherhood and love in God Almighty.

- to be fair among his students; dealing with them in one way in which everyone is equal; For him, there is no difference between rich and poor, neither relative nor stranger.. Moreover, because justice is an essential characteristic that the teacher should possess and practice with all his students. He gives each of his students his right of attention, care, grades, and the like, without inclination, favoritism, or courtesy to one student at the expense of the other.

In conclusion; The summary of the previous moral and behavioral characteristics can come together in the need for the teacher to be a good example in his words and deeds. secret and public; command and prohibition; And all of his business because a good example is the gathering of the moral and behavioral qualities necessary for the teacher. And the best of what he should have in terms of attributes and qualities; Then because his students consider him the ideal for them, so they imitate him and are influenced by him in every small and large matter in terms of whether they feel or not; So it was obligatory for him to set a good example in his sincerity and humility, enjoining what is right and forbidding what is wrong, and a good example in his good appearance, his patience with his students, his love for them, his compassion for them, and his justice among them.
